He said we would hold off on that one right now. Then he pulled out a camera, saying he needed to take pictures of any marks I have. He told me, we better do this out in the weight plantev so we could have a table. He unlocked the back door of his office to which lead to the weight room.

I'm not big on the "should" word. But sure, we can teach that life has purpose, especially in the sub-parts. ;)

I learned this from others in the I.D. field and Creationist scientists. It makes complete sense to me, but as I've told others, to become a materialist, one puts out their own spiritual eyes, plugs their spiritual ears, and hardened their spiritual heart. "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God." They are blinded to the truth. I appreciate your posts and I hope you don't mind that I have copied a couple of them to keep on hand for future use.

"Depends on how you define "religion". From Merriam-Webster's definitions, #4 would work"

hmm, which paradox do you mean? lets focus on one model. the idea that the universe could be eternal consisting of an eternal series of big bang events. and the subsequent position that this violates the second law of thermodynamics. there is a paradox here, the OP thinks the very idea is absurd, I'm sure for many reasons, but the one they gave is because it violates the 2nd law. the very concept of the infinite is certainly not intuitive. my main point is that it doesn't violate the 2nd law, and it is only a paradox through misunderstand the laws of thermodynamics. the first law states that energy can neither be created or destroyed (that is important to remember). because when the second law of thermodynamics states that the state of entropy in a closed system will always increase, it is not talking about losing energy, energy cant be destroyed. so the entropy it is talking about is the quality of energy, mainly as it expands but also as its transformed. if the universe expands and collapses in upon itself over and over, there is no problem with thermodynamics here. we wouldn't gain energy when it contracts or lose energy when it expands. this model would also have no problem with infinity as far as the 2nd law is concerned, though there is still the paradox of our inability to conceptualize infinity. this model could even explain the universal constants, perhaps the nearly infinite possibilities have happened and since most of them wouldn't be sustainable, the universe collapses... only to explode again. until it finally explodes under the somewhat sustainable conditions that we see. or maybe this is the only way they could be.
